  Self Signed Cert Phone Home

Bug description:
  I use LXD quite heavily and as part of container creation process it
  is common to want to phone home after the container has created, the
  phone home server has a self signed certificate so we have to add the
  certificate through the appropriate keys, can there be a key to not
  verify the ssl certificate on phone home?
