Message #89753
[Bug 1990840] [NEW] Log Agent rpc_loop very noisy
Public bug reported:
Hello,
since the train release the openvswitch agent is very noisy related to
"Agent rpc_loop" logs.
I found that this was done with the following Change [1].
This results in at least >=2 messages per second per agent which can be a very big number of logs in a production environment.
I wanted to discuss if these messages really need to be in the info logging as for me this is just noise and not useful information. If I had a problem I myself would restart an agent into debug mode to get deeper into the problem.
For me at least either those messages should stay in debug mode or maybe
be logged if the time it took for the rpc loop exceeded some threshold.
Any opinions on this?
