Public bug reported:

The Horizon dashboard displays the Project Names in "Horizon / Admin /
Overview" in one of these ways:

1. some of the project names as "UUID (deleted)", some as "<Project Name>"
2. all project names as "Project Name"

Obviously, Project Names are not expected in UUID format with trailing
text "(deleted)", which is confusing, because projects are not deleted.


The issue can be reproduced:

Log in as user admin with Default domain selected.

I have observed, these situations happen, depends on "Horizon / Identity
/ Domains" 'Set Domain Context' selection:

1. if I not select any Domain context or 'Clear Domain Context', only project from Default domain are displayed as correctly as Project Names
2. if other than Default domain is selected, Project Names only from selected domain are displayed correctly as names.
3. if Default domain context is selected, all Project Names are displayed correctly as names.


OpenStack version is 2023.1 (Antelope), deployed using Kolla-ansible with config override as follows:

/etc/kolla/config/horizon/custom_local_settings:
OPENSTACK_KEYSTONE_MULTIDOMAIN_SUPPORT = True

To access Identity section in Horizon, 'admin' user has 'admin' role assigned on 'Default' domain:
openstack role add --domain Default --user admin admin
