[Bug 2120923] [NEW] openstack role show NAME causes Keystone stacktrace, but succeeds with ID
Public bug reported:
openstack role show <NAME> returns the correct role details, but
Keystone logs a full stacktrace with RoleNotFound. Using the role ID
works without errors.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Run: openstack role show heat_stack_owner
2. The CLI prints the expected role information.
3. Keystone logs show: 'keystone.exception.RoleNotFound: Could not find role: heat_stack_owner' followed by a full stacktrace.
Expected result:
Keystone should return the role details without logging an error when using the role name.
Actual result:
The role is shown correctly in the CLI, but Keystone logs an exception and stacktrace.
Environment: Keystone version: 25.0.1
