Message #00489
Look! We have (lots of) things to do!
Hi all. [Have/I hope you had] a great weekend.
Quickly wrap up your slack time for now: we have lots of things to do
all of a sudden!
First, you might want to take a look at the review we got of our charm:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/charms/+bug/932974
Second, you might want to catch up on RT 50242. You can check your
email or head over here:
https://rt.admin.canonical.com//Ticket/Display.html?id=50242
(For amusement, and not really pertinent to the thrust of this email,
you might be interested in this ticket as well, about Juju +
Canonistack: https://rt.admin.canonical.com//Ticket/Display.html?id=50773 )
OK, so now, you have the background. Now you can head over to our
kanban board. On Friday, that's
https://launchpad.leankitkanban.com/Boards/View/14028610
but apparently Monday (did you see Francis' email?) that might be
https://canonical.leankitkanban.com/Boards/View/14028610
If you look in "Multi-branch work: Tasks" you will see lots! of! new! cards!
The highest priority cards are the three setuplxc ones, and the one that
Benji has already been working on. Perhaps Francesco and Graham could
get the setuplxc ones done Monday morning, or at least make some good
progress there? Note that at least one of these duplicates a slack time
lpsetup card, but getting setuplxc ready is time sensitive and is in the
critical path, so it gets the priority.
The next highest priority cards are the "must have" charm review cards.
There are only a few, and they look pretty easy. Feel free to combine
these into one or two branches, with a card per branch, if you like.
Finally, we have some low priority review cards. Tackle them if you'd
like, *except* "combine buildbot master and buildbot slave". I'd like
interested people to investigate the mysql charm, think about how we
might do it, and be ready to talk about what they think we ought to do.
I'm inclined to keep things as they are, but I want us to have given
the idea due consideration.
The upgrade-charm hook looks like the most interesting job in there to
me, fwiw, though many of them are valuable, and it's cool that Mark is
excited with our helpers.
OK, that's it. Hope it's clear. Talk to you soon!
Gary
