This video should serve as a reference to what's going on. The gnome-shell branch in the video is https://github.com/kitallis/gnome-shell-kitallis which is a fork of http://gitorious.org/~federicomenaquintero/gnome-shell/gnome-shell-federico
I'm trying to delete an event item through DBus by logging its event ID. The event successfully deletes but the actual uri of the item is assigned a new ID (one less) thereby still appearing in a findEvents call but with a new ID. This is however random, it does sometimes cleanly delete the events. To replicate, following the steps in the video should be enough.
