I just noticed this tonight.  My fresh install of 11.04 always has one
process in a zombie state.  I can't seem to kill/end it.

  Binary package hint: zeitgeist

  To reproduce, either
  a.) Just start a desktop session
  b.) Kill the zeitgeist-daemon and manually run zeitgeist-datahub

  In both cases 'ps' reveals a zombie process:
