Yes, that's something I wanted to investigate. But I think that
submitting songs from the server is the wrong way to do it, last.fm
provides a REST API which can probably be used entirely from
Javascript, and implementing scrobbling in the browser solves the
issues you mentioned wrt multi-user, configuration, etc.
