I tried to use the stand alone web server included with Zim to share
some documents with a friend for some brief collaboration, but noticed
that when I started the server it is bound only to localhost! I see
various mentionings of localhost inside the python scripts comprising
Zim's internals, but do not wish to go editing them without knowing what
I am doing(I do not program Python).

How would I go about getting Zim to bind itself to my LAN IP rather than
my loopback IP?
