[Ayatana] Application Bucket(AppStasher)

With the coming of Notify-OSD and soon to come Windicators the only function of Notification area left is Minimize to Tray A.K.A T3(Trash The Toolbars),Which IMO is worst thing ever thought by mankind(note:Not the Minimize to Tray concept but putting the icons in Toolbars without my permission and cluttering the toolbar with it) but we still need somewhere to hide the apps,So why not replace it with something new and Innovative?And the Idea of an Application Bucket or App Stasher came to my mind.
(Not needed on Unity as it has a Dock/Launcher)

I imagine it to be an Applet residing in the panel when user clicks the Applet a drawer pops out and user can drag the application and stash it there,When the app needs indication a notify-osd bubble pops up(suggested by me) or the drawer button blinks and rapidly changes to the application's icon(suggested by Sense Hofstede).

Now what needed is some feedback and some pretty mockups
