Re: Fan noise

 

I'm sorry to reply because I don't have a TZ, but just the 4810T. Maybe
I can help though, and describe the sound of what I know to be the CPU
fan. But I guess I may be foolishly assuming that the TZ has another fan
for the GPU. I was wondering though, if you could be more specific about
the fan noise. 

I mean, does it sound like a quiet wooshhhh? Or does it sound like it
might be at ultra-maximum-jet-engine speed? Can you hear the motor in
it? When mine speeds up to a high speed I can hear the whine of the
motor while it's accelerating, it's kind of like a spinning up HD, but I
don't think it actually is the HD. 

Usually in Linux mine is a very quiet woosh, always on, which I can hear
very well in quiet rooms only. 

I just installed Win 7 (the free upgrade, I swear) to test this very
issue, so I'll let you know my experience there.
