I fully agree with your nice speech and I feel its a good time to raise
something a different and at the same time similar topic. Please don't
hate me for doing so 0:-)
Please put up some coding standards. Better NOW than later. Having
thoughts spend on "is it remote_host or remoteHost or RemoteHost" are
just waste of valuable brain cycles. Of course there is autocompletion
that helps you answering the question but the question shouldn't raise
at all.
The original codebase was written with pep8 standard. The new patches
use camleCase names for references and hence inconsistent with the base.
I don't care what you choose but just do it everywhere the same.
Also some guidelines for where comments should be put in place as they
help avoiding confusion.
I have seen to many flamewars about this topic which in the end is more
time spend on discussing it than its valuable. But this project is young
and putting some guidelines up now would help and avoids this in the
future. Doing it later might end up in a disaster (been there, don't
want to be there again).
DISCLAIMER
I do not intend to participate in development in the near future so my
opinion does not actually matter and I understand if you don't care.
