Re: Merge proposal and package lists

Hey sorry I have not been on top things... I changed the format for 2
reasons... 1 to make it easier to format for a web interface, and 2 to
allow for expansibility... I completely disagree that the web interface
is not usable. It is very much a great tool to check where a package
came from on the lan... check which packages on the lan... etc. The xml
allows us to polish the data we use internally for package lists. The
xml format is NOT complicated at all... and very readable as well IMHO.

If I remember correctly... I worked on the quoting aspect of the parser
a bit... and is required at some point if the data is to be passed
through an xml parser... I thought it was working correctly at one point
though... so I am not sure what happened...

I am very pro the Web interface and would be disappointed to see it
regress any from the improvements I have made... I am many others would
enjoy the data they can get from the features it currently offers...
