tracker can take from several minutes to several hours to complete its
indexing activities depending upon how large/how many files you have
on your HDD and all shares that tracker can see.

To check progress run

tracker status

If you dont want tracker and apps that use tracker then first make
sure you are running budgie-desktop 10.3.1 from backports
(budgie-welcome - recommendations), then you can purge tracker,
tracker-extract and tracker-miner-fs.

If you still want tracker and the tracker related apps and the status
does not look like its completing then file a bug report with the devs
so that they are aware
