For those interesting in packaging Bazaar for other platforms, note that most of the new code can be used in theory on other platforms. If there's interest, we could have a cross-platform project (called bzr-packaging say) that we build multiple bundles from. Failing that, I guess we can sync the bazaar_releases.py file - the core build metadata - across packaging projects each build. Take and look and let me know if a cross-platform project is of interest to you.
As someone who has tried (unsuccessfully so far) to build Mac installers, I would say that anything that preserves consistency between the various platform-specific installer would be good. The bzr-mac-installers scripts are quite good already, so I'm not sure if it's necessary to share code there, but it might be nice to standardize the commands needed to build.
If we could extend this to Linux distributions with a meta-package for all of the components that make up the Windows and Mac installers, that would be great too (having just had to set up the Bazaar ecosystem manually on Ubuntu).
