I had a vague understanding before, it's far clearer now. 

Yet, I've got one more question: what about the extensions ? Are
they included in both installers ?

I also think that leaves out a third category of users: those who
want to be able to run bzr from source and as such needs to be
able to (at least) compile the extensions themselves.

It would be nice if we can help them setup their dev environment
too :)
