A suggestion of improvement: wouldn't it be enough if the selection widget
could trigger an edit and new popup when pressing the F3 or F2 just like in
the many2one widget at least on the GTK client? I think we would have then
the best of the two worlds: fast edition on latency networks (where the
selection saves server round trips) and possibility to edit related records
properly. What do you think?

every (entitled) user must be able to enter new titles / legal forms of corporations without navigation to Sales/Config/addressbook/....
may be the current solution works well in English speeking countries, not so in Austria (and ....) where (various) titles are part of the name and widely used. It is considered impolite not to use correct titles.

alternate solution
* allow to open the resource with right mouse click on selection widget.
