Hello David,

For reproducing the bug, I have followed the steps below:

1) I have created a new DB with Spanish language, So by default date
format will be spanish.

2) Then I have installed the project module and follow the steps written
in your bug specification.

3) When task is converted from draft to in progress state date is
assigned successfully to date_start field and remains after saving the
data.

Would you please check it again with the latest stable 6.0 version and
notify us.

Title:
  cannot save datetime with local format

Status in OpenERP Server:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  For example in the project module:
   in a task if i pass this task from draft state to in progress state it should assign the date_start field , but if the language of the user is spanish for example (date format : %d-%m-%Y  %H:%M:%S) when i save the task record , the field date_start became empty.

  The same happens in gtk client and in web client in the last version
  of v6 (21 - 01- 2011)
