Situation:

I have a partner "X "  record.  I have another New partner "Y" and I
happen to placed the Name of another partner "X" in the Reference Field
of Partner "Y" just as a note that this new partner was referred by
partner "X" .

 Now when I search addresses for the Partner "X" I actually get the result of Partner "Y". this only happens in Web Client
I will attach Screen Prints
