hello,
i am using server 6.0.1 but i had this problem in 6RC2 all the same.
i am project manager to dozens of projects under openerp and i have no time to define each and every task for every employee.
but in current release this is not possible that each project member creates him/her self a task.because when he/she want to create a task and want to search within project he/she will only see projects that he/she is manager of.

i think the correct way would be a user should be able to write tasks
for every project he/she is a member of.don't u agree?
