Ferdinand, we are screwed on our own modules: for advanced project
managements, we extends project_long_term. We let user make phase resource
allocation quickly in an editable tree while detailed information (computed
fields and extra options) should be available in the form view. Here we need
quick tree view edition so putting all form fields inside the list view is
not a viable solution for us. I do not like the choice that has been made to
remove this important feature.

Bug description:

  in (editable?) o2m lists it is not possbile to switch to form -hence some data are not editable at all
  Example. Customer + base_contact installed
