Relating with this issue: ThunderBird plugin doesn't create any contact.
If no partner is selected, it doesn't create anything. If partner is
selected, It's create a new direction for this partner instead a
contact.

I'm using Thunderbird 3.1.10 on Windows and OpenERP 6.0 on Ubuntu
10.04.1 LTS wiht base_contact module 6.0.1.0 installed.

  IMHO it is necessary to define if the new partner is a customer or supplier 
  btw - base_contact is not supported either
