       I have checked your issue and it works properly at my end.       
If you still face the same problem then please update us with the more
information such as video or screen shot.

I have checked with following revision in Web client : 
  
             Stable 6  : 4690   
             Trunk 6.1 : 4684
             New web client  : 985

  state buttons in tree view

Status in OpenERP Web Client:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  The state buttons inside the tree view are only displayed when the state is displayed too.
  If you don't include the state-field, or set invisible="1" for the state-field, the webclient doesn't display the buttons.
