Message #36571
[Bug 886608] [NEW] [V5] : Saving Predefined exports fails !
Public bug reported:
Guys,
This bug appears in OpenERP Version 5 especially when you have been
using latest GTK version(2.20 + )
Problem : When you wish to use predefined exports, the option to save
the export doesn't work.
Reason : The library of gtk for gtkEntry widget has got a change and
hence the problem appears. (GTK2.20+ has the tendency to nullify the
text after call to destroy,so we have to save the value of gtkEntry
widget before destroying the window)
Solution: Resides in the attached merge proposal.
Proof of concept : Attached are 2 videos which show the situation of
problem and situation after solution respectively.
Hope this helps a lot.
(This should be given a priority)
Thanks,
Serpent Consulting Services.
** Affects: openobject-client
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
