you need Cairo-Dock > 2.0.8 to have this option.
the best is to use our repository.

Bug description:
I am using ubuntu and I tried to set up tow monitors side by side.
However the Cairo-Dock doesn't adjust to the multiple monitors by itself. It assumes a single desktop and put itself in the "center", which results in a splited dock across screens.
