It happened after upgrading to 12.10.

Usually happens after menus in LibreOffice stop working. In order to
reactivate them I minimize Writer/Calc and reactivate it using the
launcher. When the window comes up, the dock stays static on mouse over
and has to be killed.

I have reassigned the alt-cmd-tab key combination using ccsm. Can this
be a source of irritation?

If I downgrade to 3.0 you will have no input on improvements.

  GLX-dock hangs regularly since update to 12.10

Status in “cairo-dock” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  The dock regularly hangs (accepts no input, does not react to mouse
  over events) and does not let itself stop by right-clicking the
  background.

  Kill and restart are the only options to get it working again.

  As the launcher does not work properly as well this is a pretty
  serious limitation in every day work.

  Boys (and girls) what did you think when sending this version (12.10)
  out. It's the worst I ever experienced.
