ok so the problem is definitely in the update event...
I'll try to understand why we don't get/treat the update signal with the
info you gave us :)

  Notifications for  skype messages and status

Status in Cairo-Dock: Plug-ins:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  My skype icon on the notification area stays always off-line and doesn't reflect the real skype status.
  Oddly when Skype logs-out it breaks cpu-freqindicator icons on notification area and cleans the icons within quick browser plug-in.
  In attachment a screenshot with the permanently blank skype icon and the output of dbus-monitor starting from skype launch till successfully log-in.
