Hi,
that's probably because the theme you're using for icons doesn't have the
icons for hard disks (which should be something like "drive-harddisk.png"
in the theme of the system).

so 3 solutions:
find these icons (in /usr/share/icons) and copy them in the local icons
folder of the dock (~/.config/cairo-dock/current_theme/icons)
or use the default icons for the dock
or use the theme for the system

To fix the bug, I think we would need to have our own icons for disks and
folders or find some default icons available in all themes.

  This problems is common to every dock theme on my  64 xubuntu desktop
