[Bug 677262] [NEW] Flash player fullscreen completely crashes Ubuntu

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: adobe-flashplugin

I had to rewrite this report because my Browser was not sending referer
header, that was pretty annoying.

I'm using Ubuntu 10.10, and watching videos on any flash player and then
trying to go full screen will cause the screen to go nuts.

The image gets _really_ distorted rendering the system unusable.

I don't think the issue is related to Xorg because the ttys are affected
as well by the distortion.

To be able to use the computer again an hard reboot is needed either by
blindly typing `sudo reboot` in the tty or more simply by unplugging the
computer.

The issue appears as soon the proprietary ATI drivers are installed
using the Ubuntu Additional Drivers application. Going in full screen
with the native (non proprietary) drivers causes strange blocks to
appear sporadically on the video, without fatal crash though.

I'm attaching the video card and kernel information to the bug.

** Affects: adobe-flashplugin (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
