  This now happens everyday:
  I'm using skype chat with a friend.
  After 10 min or so, I stop hearing back from then. 
  Then skype says my messages are not going through.
  When I try to close skype it doesn't respond.
  Have to restart laptop.
  
  I'm on mains power, and have good network connection.
