[Bug 974902] [NEW] no video or audio for youtube etc
Public bug reported:
There was a package of updates last week. I seem to remember one was for Flash. Immediately after that I started having problems watching videos on youtube and other sites; I'd get a black or white screen where the video should be and no audio.
I re-installed Lubuntu, installed flashaid and went through the wizard
set-up.
Now, I can get some videos to work by disabling the ShockWave Flash
(SWF) add on, but it doesn't work all the time; some videos on youtube,
and on other sites still have a black screen or say 'missing plug in',
and sometimes ''video not currently available'. If I enable SWF the BBC
iPlayer ones work but the ones that did work on youtube don't work any
longer.
I've got a Windows laptop and all the videos on all the sites I've tried
work fine. It suggests that those updates contained a bug.
** Affects: adobe-flashplugin (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
