[Bug 1010390] Re: Since upgrading to 12.04 flash player does not work in either Firefox or Chrome. No method suggested works including reinstalling Ubuntu 12.04. I also find it impossible to update Java which Firefox says it has stopped because it is out of date. update

Firefox, installed via software centre still does not play iplayer or
YouTube clips.  Blank screen. Still reports that Java needs updating
although this has been done.
