[Bug 1010390] Re: Since upgrading to 12.04 flash player does not work in either Firefox or Chrome. No method suggested works including reinstalling Ubuntu 12.04. I also find it impossible to update Java which Firefox says it has stopped because it is out of date. update
Only Google Chrome works (not Chromium installed via the Software Centre but the version installed as in comment #1).
Why Firefox still fails to enable flash, I do not know. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the flashplayer installed - see this output:
lsb_release -a; dpkg -l | egrep 'flash|gnash|swf|spark'
No LSB modules are available.
