I'm giving this a higher chance of working with quantal or raring X stack on precise.
I queued some fixes to the mesa 9 branch from git master that should get in to 9.0.2,
which does help stability a lot.
With the entire drm abi rework between 9 and 8, I don't think it even applies to earlier versions.

Been doing some preliminary work, uploading packages to my staging ppa with arm builders.

It's mostly identical right now, but that is a good thing. I'll try to copy the packages to the raring backports ppa
next when everything finished building, so others can test the transitioning mechanics as well if they want.

Testing the reverse optimus support patches by airlied for X and ddx's. These patches will benefit
the most from the work I've been doing, so actually having a good testcase instead of just
running games in windowed mode would rock. Also had the displeasure of dealing with radeon
fallout inside kernel. Because I touched something last I, I ended up being responsible for it.
So now I have a few upstreamed radeon patches to my name. :)
Other things on todo list are:
- getting mesa sru in precise, so the unrenamed -dev packages work with the renamed -dev stack.
- making sure quantal stack works correctly (apart from first item, nothing atm)
- transitioning to x1.14 (postponed slightly)
- checking up with airlied if x1.14 supports opengl arb robustness for graphics card switching, and maybe add support to compiz for
that after updating xserver (blocked on x1.14).
