[Bug 413532] [NEW] Compiz hangs after waking up from hibernation

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

I'm using:
Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic
Linux laptop 2.6.31-5-generic #24-Ubuntu SMP Sat Aug 1 12:48:18 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
compiz-0.8.2-0ubuntu15

When I go into hibernation my system goes down as expected, but when
it's restarted all windows (including the "switch off computer"-dialog
which is still visible) are frozen. Only the mouse pointer can be moved
but no interaction is possible. A workaround to solve this issue is to
switch into a terminal session via ctrl-alt+f1-6 and kill the
compiz.real process and start it again. From that point onwards
everything works normally.

** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Description changed:
