Everything seems to be working fine for me right now, perhaps a
screenshot would make it clear what you mean. The only problem I can see
is that the panel doesn't cast a shadow on the window when it slides out
from autohide anymore. If that is the only problem you're having with
this change it's not worth reverting as that is how it looks with
metacity too and autohide is not the common case.
