This is with the nvidia 185 drivers.  However, the problem also happened
in Jaunty with the 180 drivers and compiz 0.8.2.

When compiz is enabled, the screen flickers black every 5-10 seconds
(the flicker lasts perhaps 1/10 second).  This does not happen when
compiz is disabled.
