I should mention: The frequency of choppy logins has increased over
time.  I would imagine this is directly related to the number of files
accumulating in the account.  When testing, you may need to restart your
computer a few times before you see the bug.  For some reason, logging
off and back on does *not* exhibit the bug; it must be from a full
system reboot or shutdown.
