3.  The screensaver is selectable in the Gnome screensaver properties,
it has not once shown a "sheep"   ~/.electricsheep has about 270MB of
avi's in it from a previous installation of electricsheep in my previous
Arch install.  These should be completely interchangable.  To ensure
this was not the issue i moved the directory to a new name and tried
again.  (i deleted the deb off my system first and redownloaded it from
the repo's)

after that i attempted to run it from the command line and get this
error:

$ electricsheep
please be patient while the first sheep is downloaded...
lost contact with v2d6.sheepserver.net, cannot retrieve sheep.

4.  No matter what the screensaver does not start.
