[Bug 489168] Re: dell studio xps 13 compiz crashes

 

perroazul, I am assuming that you are not using the default compiz
settings?  If so, could you test the default GNOME/Compiz settings by
renaming your .gnome/, .gnome2/, .gconf/ and .gconfd/ directories and
letting Gnome rebuild the defaults?

Then, with the default compiz turned on, test to see if the actions
still cause crashes.  If not, then we can piece-by-piece modify the
settings towards your usual settings to see which feature causes the
crash.  Then, at any point, you can go back to your original settings by
renaming those directories back to their original names.
