There was a recent gnome-screensaver update.  Not that it addressed this
issue, but I am monitoring to see if I get a crash since then.  Terrible
to say this, but I am glad more users are seeing this issue.  Perhaps
now we can get some assistance on a possible workaround and/or fix.
