[Bug 548839] [NEW] wobbly windows gravity does not honor rolled-up windows

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz-fusion-plugins-main

I am using Ubuntu 9.10 but I believe it also occurs in 10.04. compiz-plugins appears to be 1.0.8.4-0ubuntu2.1
I maintain many windows in rolled-up state (I keep various browser windows that way), and unroll them when I want to use that window.

I would expect rolling and unrolling of windows, and moving one window
near to another rolled-up window, to have proper gravity with respect to
the nearest edge in all cases - the same as working with fully open
windows.

Instead, when I try to locate one window just below the bottom of the
rolled-up window's header, wobbly windows does not have gravity to the
bottom of the rolled-up window, but tries to either attach to the top of
that window or the top of the screen (or the panel above).

It also tries to relocate the window and sometimes expands it to a weird
size when I unroll a window when it is near a rolled-up window. In some
cases only 1/2 of the weird window is on screen, the other half is above
the screen, until I click on the window. In that case it will usually
return to the correct location.

** Affects: compiz-fusion-plugins-main (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
