[Bug 553799] Re: Compiz doesn't detect monitor's refresh rate correctly

** Summary changed:

- Bad compiz performance since 9.10
+ Compiz doesn't detect monitor's refresh rate correctly

** Description changed:

- Since Ubuntu 9.10 Compiz became to perform very badly — windows are moving jerkily, effects are too abrupt and performance in 3D applications is being reduced a lot. In 9.04 Compiz was working fine. Also, the current version of Kwin works fine too — effects are very smooth and running Kwin isn't reduce the 3D performance in other apps.
- This problem exists at least on Nvidia and Intel video cards.
+ Since Ubuntu 9.10 Compiz became to detect monitor's refresh rate incorrectly, so the performance became very low by default.
+ My monitor works at 60 Hz (or 60.02 as the NVidia Settings tool says), when Compiz choose 50 Hz by default.
