[Bug 577268] [NEW] turn off place plugin in lucid?
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: compiz
I don't like any of the placement options in the place plugin. In ccsm,
one is not allowed to turn off the place plugin--it always comes back
on. In karmic, I would edit the /usr/bin/compiz file and remove the
place plugin from the set that was mandatory. That worked fine.
But now you have no compiz.real, and compiz is no longer the startup
script. I see in the changelog of the debian package, that was on
purpose, but there's no explanation about why this change was made. And
there's no place where a person can remove plugins.
Isn't there a way to control what plugins are mandatory not-turn-
offable.
** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
