[Bug 585224] [NEW] keyboard accessibility beep interacts poorly with compiz visual bell

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

If you set the "simulate simultaneous keypresses" setting in "keyboard
preferences" then by default "beep when a modifier key is pressed" is
also set as is Compiz "visual bell". This means that the whole window
flashes every time a shift key is pressed, which is quite offputting.

There are instructions in
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=591937 to disable the visual
bell, or within the keyboard settings dialog you can turn off audio
feedback.

It's a bit confusing (though understandable in terms of implementation)
that the keyboard accessibility stuff dialog talks only about audio
feedback but Ubuntu disables this by default.
