I don't know how to reproduce this bug, but it seems  coming after play games who needs a huge amount of graphic power or if I'm working on a lot of open windows.
I have this bug with "nouveau" driver or "nividia" driver.

When it happens, i do a:

compiz --replace

and everything come back to normal.
