[Bug 781306] [NEW] Use of ini backend crashes compiz

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

Compiz crashes with segmentation fault if I switch its configuration
backend to flat-file. It runs fairly stable when the backend is gconf.
Segfault is more frequent if regex matching plugin is enabled.

The attached dmesg shows many instances of segfaults as well as a
general protection fault which is less likely.

How to reproduce:

1) Put the attached compiz configuration files at the following
locations:

       ~/.config/compiz-1/compiz-manager
       ~/.config/compiz-1/compizconfig/config
       ~/.config/compiz-1/compizconfig/Default.ini

   The directory name "compiz-1" used to be "compiz" before update to
natty.

2) Login to a recovery console session.

3) Without a window manager, type in the xterm:

       $ ccsm &

   Then switch the backend to Flat-file Configuration Backend by following the items: Preferences -> Backend.
   Close ccsm.

4) Run compiz in the xterm by:

       $ compiz

   Most likely compiz crashes.
