[Bug 792970] [NEW] Compiz segfault during login on NV GTX560 after enabling Xinerama

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

After starting X, reaching the user login screen and logging into the
default "Ubuntu" profile (which uses Compiz), Compiz will crash if
Xinerama is set to '1' in xorg.conf. Logging in with 'no effects' will -
naturally - work just fine. Logging in with the default "Ubuntu" profile
when Xinerama is set to '0' will also work just fine. Note that X itself
does not crash, rather compiz. Attempts to troubleshoot included
regenerating xorg.conf, removing nouveau, tweaking xorg.conf settings
and using the next most recent nvidia driver.

from dmesg:
compiz[15093]: segfault at 58 ip 00007fb486bfbc51 sp 00007fff1ac1ce68 error 4 in libnvidia-glcore.so.270.41.06[7fb485c69000+144e000]

OS: Ubuntu 11.04
Card: NVidia GTX560
Driver: nvidia-current_270.41.06-0ubuntu1
Compiz: compiz_0.9.4+bzr20110415-0ubuntu2

** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
