[Bug 861061] Re: compiz 3d performance regression
FYI, on my Sandybridge graphics using "Force full screen redraws (buffer
swap) on repaint", I found graphics were most smooth if I also disable
"Sync To VBlank". That also disables the fix from my PPA, so you don't
really need the PPA unless you have ATI/AMD graphics.
Also, the Intel graphics are more smooth with TripleBuffer enabled (the
default). Although glxgears reports a higher frame rate with
TripleBuffer disabled, I actually experience a smoother desktop leaving
TripleBuffer enabled.
