[Bug 884234] [NEW] Compiz blur plugin mirrors transparent backgrounds vertically

Public bug reported:

The Compiz "blur" plugin in 11.10 seems to have been changed in a way so
to use vertically mirrored screen image to produce the blurred image.

This affects window shadows, see screenshots at
http://askubuntu.com/questions/68926/ugly-shadows-around-applications

This also happens with some windows which employ compositing to draw
transparent backgrounds. When "alpha_blur" setting of the blur plugin is
enabled, this leads to mirrored background.

The mirroring doesn't occur when blur plugin is disabled. The mirroring
didn't ever happen before 11.10.
